OBITUARIES Nancy Louise Baldwin Cause of $1 million fire in Grand Chute ruled accidental i I The Post-Crescent GRAND CHUTE A fire that caused more than $1 million in damage to a truck repair shop Monday evening will be ruled accidental. Fire Chief Mark Heling said investigators have determined the blaze at Quality Truck Care Center, 2150 W. Nordale Drive, began when heat from a torch spread from a truck frame into the truck, which was filled with furniture. He said the department would make the official ruling later today.

Lucille "Lou" Jacobchick E8619 State Road 54 New London Formerly of Milwaukee and Win-neconne, age 70, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, with her family at her side on Wednesday, July 21, 1999. She was born June 27, 1929 in Milwaukee; daughter of the late Ernst and May (Bruss) Vosz. On July 9, 1949 she married Matthew Jacobchick in Milwaukee. She was a member of the Winnebago Itasca Travelers Motor Home Club and also the Wana-B Motor Home Club. She was a former member of the Win-neconne Women's Civic League.

She is survived by her husband, Matthew Jacobchick; two sons: Kenneth (Denean) Jacobchick, New London; Robert (Wava) Jacobchick, Blair, a brother, Al (Barb) Vosz, Brown Deer, a sister, Delores Mylly, Santa Barbara, California; two uncles: Curtis Vosz, Milwaukee; Carl Sueflow, Mesa, Arizona; five grandchildren: Karley, Kelly, Matthew, Peter and Joey Jacobchick. The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 24, 1999 at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in the Town of Lebanon with Rev. Msgr.

Leona Tremmel Formerly of 397 Pine Menasha, age 92, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 1999, at Vallhaven Care Center in Neenah. She was born September 11, 1906, in Wausau, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Paul and Adeline (Gresens) Erdmann. Leona was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Menasha. She is survived by her children, George R. (Rosemary) Tremmel, Urban-dale, Iowa, and Joan Patricia Peterson, Soquel, California; a daughter-in-law, Betty Tremmel, Appleton; a sister, Pearl (Charles) Harrer, Appleton; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Leona was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Tremmel Sr. in 1948; a son, Louis J. Tremmel Jr. in 1997; a daughter, Elaine Tremmel, in 1927, and a sister, Lydia Schanke, in 1942.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, August 1, 1999, at Laemmrich Community Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Nin-mer officiating. Inurnment will be in Resthaven Cemetery, Neenah. A lunch and social will be at the funeral home following the services.

Memorials may be directed toward Bethel Lutheran Church, in Menasha. Three men suffered cuts after a man who was asked to leave a downtown Appleton tavern late Wednesday fought with bouncers. Appleton police said the man, who was not immediately identified, was being escorted from Park Central by two employees just before 11 p.m. When they got to the sidewalk area, he started to fight with them, and the Memorial set up for The union representing iron workers in eastern Wisconsin and northern Michigan has started a trust fund for the families of the three men killed in the Miller Park accident in Milwaukee last week. Ike was well known in the New London area as he had worked in building construction for many years. Joseph Geenen (Clara M. Coffey) Freedom Age 93, formerly of 4133 County passed away Tuesday July 20, 1999, at Rennes Health Center in Apple-ton. She was born April 15, 1906, in Freedom, the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Vande Hey) Coffey and had resided in the Freedom area all of her life. Clara was united in marriage to Joseph Geenen on July 13, 1926, sharing 64 years together before his death on March 24, 1991. Clara was actively involved with her husband in operating the Geenen Shopping Center and Geenen Explosives.

She had a deep concern for others and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Clara was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church of Freedom and the Christian Mothers Society. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Therese and Michael Maulick, Freedom; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Joseph and Nancy Geenen, Chenequa, Wisconsin; a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Ben Verhagen, Kaukauna; five sisters-in-law, Marion Murphy, Freedom; Agnes Peters, Omro; Exilda Valentine, Freedom; Jean Coffey, West Virginia; and Marie Coffey, Apple-ton; 11 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Clara was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Aulozzi; two sisters, Lillian Wieber and Mae Vanden Heuvel; six brothers and four sisters-in-law, John (Mabel), Herman (Marie), Dr. Sylvester (Harriet), Dr. Francis, Leo (Helen) and Art Coffey; brothers-in-law, Alex Vanden Heuvel, Charles Wieber, Ray Murphy, Frank Peters, Lee Valentine, Gerald Geenen Sr. and Ray Geenen. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 11 a.m.

Saturday, July 24th at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom, with Fr. Dennis Ryan officiating and Fr. Roy Geenen and Fr. Leander Nickel co-celebrating.

Barta Appleton Died at home after a valiant battle with cancer on Tuesday, July 21, 1999. He was born July 29, 1919, in Appleton, son of the late John and Katherine (Plesser) Barta.

On September 13, 1951, in Little Chute he was united in marriage to the former Dolores A. Wildenberg. He served his country for three years in the U.S. Army during World War II. Joe was employed by the U.S.

Post Office for 32 years as a mail carrier. He was an avid golfer, loved gardening, walking and traveling to spend time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dolores Barta, Appleton; his four daughters and sons-in-law, Ann (Robert) Chessen, Littleton, Colorado; Nancy (Tim) Davis, Arlington, Virginia; Kathleen Barta and Bryan Jacques, Milwaukee, and Sheila (William) Fleet, La Quinta, California; his son, Michael Barta, Palm Desert, California. Joe is also survived by seven grandchildren. Joe was a life long member of St.

He was baptized as an infant and confirmed at Emanuel Lutheran Church and was a lifelong member. On June 7, 1945, he was united in marriage with N. June Popke at Emanuel Lutheran Church by the Rev. Walter Pankow. He attended New London schools and worked at Hockers Brick Company until entering the Army in 1941.

He served 4 Vi years and was trained in Fort Bliss and Camp Wallace, Texas, with the Anti Aircraft Gunnery Division. He served in Bermuda and France and Germany and saw extensive duty in the European Theatre where he fought and was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge with the 60th Infantry Division. He was hospitalized in Belgium. Appleton, WI 920-733-7383 Virginia M.Greene Appleton Age 81, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, July 20, 1999. She was born in Appleton on October 28, 1917, to the late Walter and Veronica (Seibold) Sigl. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Third Order of St Francis. Virginia was a telephone operator for 30 years, until the time of her retirement.

She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was the loving mother of Walter D. Greene, Appleton; Joan (Thomas) Ratajczyk, Milwaukee; Rosemary (Don) Sawchuk, Canton, Michigan; Mary Greene, Appleton; sisters, Rosemary Mullen and Joan (John) Hurley, both of Appleton; seven grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was employed at Thilmany Pulp and Paper Company in Kaukauna for 35 years until retiring in 1979. He also farmed in the Town of Stockbridge his entire life. He was a member of St Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge, the Association of the Miraculous Medal and the Thilmany Pulp and Paper Company Quarter Century Club. Gib was a lover of life and the great outdoors, enjoying his farm, gardening, sheepshead, watching auto racing, football and sturgeon fishing. He held his granddaughter, Kelsey Rose, most dear.

Those who shared in his life were blessed by his love and his enthusiasm for life. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be sadly missed.
