The bride is the former Miss Judith Jeanne Jordan. The pair repeated vows in a noon ceremony at St. Peter Catholic Church, Oshkosh. Some Real Charmers in 'Dress A Doll' Contest BY DOROTHY RICHTER FOND DU LAC There are some real charmers among the clothes conscious dolls who will entertain little Fond du girls this Christmas. They wear everything from miniskirts and fish net stockings to demure Little Bo-Peep outfits, complete with sheep.

These are the dolls of the "Dream a Doll" contest. They were dressed by Fond du Lac housewives, and they, will be given to needy children for Christmas, and they are quite something. The women dressel them because the project seemed fun and it was such a nice idea. Mrs. John Furman, one of the contestants, said, "It was such a nice thing to do, and with all of us putting in a little time, we will provide so much happiness." The dolls will be given to the Big Brothers Fund and the children's home.

The great variety of cOStumes is a result of four classifications practical, elaborate, nationality and story book. Grey Yarn Poodle The practical group is the largest. Though the name implies something less than glamorous, the costumes are colorful and altogether charming. There are summer play Eugene J. Klapperich and his bride, the former Miss Patricia Schneider, are shown after their wedding Saturday.

The couple repeated vows in a 1 p.m. ceremony at St. Mary Catholic Church, Fond du Lac. clothes and winter sports outfits. There are beautiful knit clothes including dresses, suits, coats, scarves, hats, purses, and mittens.

One doll with a pink knitted outfit is accompanied by a gray yarn poodle. Several sophisticated blond beauties wear. simulated fur coats, hats and capes, leopard being a favorite. One doll carries a suitcase containing her P.J.'s Sleep clothes are included with many of the outfits. The story book characters include Red Riding Hood, BoPeep and a delightful Flying Nun.

First prize in the elaborate division went to 19 year old Barbara Pierce, 477 Madison St. Her doll was dressed as a bride in a gown with a satin bodice and skirt with rows of hand sewn lace. The bride carried roses which also formed the crown of her veil. Greek Dancer n-year-old Beth Spoerri, 371 Boyd Street, won first place in the nationality class with a Greek dancer wearing a braid-trimmed red coat, white pantaloons and blouse, and slippers with turned-up toes. First prize in the practical division went to Mrs.

Herman Schuppe, 80 West Cotton St. The doll she dressed wore tan corduroy jacket, shirt and cap, trimmed with leopard. Her slacks were leopard. Mrs. Wayne H.

Emmer, 117 West Arndt dressed a Little Bo Peep to win first prize in the story book division. Her dress was pink flower, sprigged cotton with a black laced bodice. Her lamb accompanied her. The grand prize was won by Mrs. Louis Schrage, Mt.

Calvary. Her doll was dressed as a bride with a sequin-trimmed white satin gown with a lace coat. She wore pearls and carried a bouquet of lillies of the valley and pink roses. Mrs. Schrage made an additional reversible coat of purple satin lined with white satin and edges of pearls.

Mrs. Schrage is an old hand at doll dressing. Her two grown daughters have suit cases full of doll clothes. She has made doll clothes for many children in the Village. "I enjoy making things from scraps.

The only material I bought was the lace for the coat," she said. The dolls will be on display at National Exchange Bank until Dec. 8. Times' And Familia Their Engagements Have Been Announced and Mr. Stewart OSHKOSH A Dec.

30 wedding is planned by Miss Connie Louise. Fournier and Daniel L. Stewart. The couple's engagement has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Leonard Fournier, 6764 Howlett Road. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Stewart, 1123 Taft are the parents of the bridegroom-elect. Miss Fournier and her fiance are both employees of Miles Kimball Co.

Thompson Photo Connie L. Fournier and Mr. Hammang FOND DU LAC A May 4 wedding is planned by Miss Mary Lou Wurtzel and Michael Lawrence Hammang. The couple's engagement has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Harold Wurtzel, 443 W. Division St. The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mrs. George Sommermeyer, Tecumseh, and the late Lawrence Hammang. Miss Wurtzel is employed in the computation inspection department of A.

C. Nielsen Co. Her fiance, 46 Doty is a machinist with Royal Brass Inc. Miss Treffert and Mr. Brown FOND DU LAC Jan.

20 is the wedding date chosen by the newly-engaged Miss Gail Ann Treffert and Albert D. Brown. The couple's engagement has been announced by the bride-elect's mother. Miss Treffert is the daughter of Mrs. Walter Treffert, 88 Fourth the late Mr.

Treffert. Mr. and Mrs. Manual Brown, Delavan, are the parents of the bridegroom-elect. Miss Treffert was graduated from the Madison Business College and is a secretary for Hult Chevrolet Madison.

Her fiance attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and is now studying sales and marketing the Madison Business College. and Mr. Mathewson OSHKOSH The engagement of Miss Sarah Berens to Henry Mathewson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mathewson, 2017 Minnesota has been announced by her parents.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Berens, 901 Desnoyer Kaukauna. Miss Berens, who will graduate from Wisconsin State University-Oshkosh in January, is presently a practice, teacher. Mr.

Mathewson is now attending Marquette Law School, Milwaukee. He is a graduate of WSU Oshkosh, where he was a member and president of Sigma Pi fraternity. Miss Zielicke and Mr. Guell FOND DU LAC Miss Sharon. Ann Zielicke is engaged to Harley David Guell.

The couple is planning a Jan. 13 wedding. Announcement of the engagement has been made by the bride-elect's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Zielicke, route 2.

Fond du Lac. The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harley L. Guell, Eden.

Miss Zielicke is employed in the office of Kiekhaefer Corp. Airman 1.C. Guell is stationed at Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina. Miss Brooks and Mr. Zuege BERLIN Miss Wendy Lynn Brooks is engaged to Dale Zuege.

The announcement has been made by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Brooks, route 2, Berlin. The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mrs. Phyllis Zuege, route 1, Ripon.

Miss Brooks is employed by Berlin Super Valu store. Her fiance is with Ripon Speed Queen. The couple plans a February wedding. Thompson Phote Themesen Phote Miss Dettlaff and Mr. Schneske OSHKOSH Mr.

and Mrs. Henry Dettlaff, 931 N. Sawyer have announced the engagement of their daughter, Susan to Joseph W. Schneske. He is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. Thomas K. Schneske, 638 Monroe St. Miss Dettlaff is an employee of the Western State Bank. Mr.

Schneske is studying Marketing and Sales at Oshkosh Technical Institute and will graduate in January. He is employed by Milwaukee Paint Products Co. The couple has no immediate wedding plans. Pallin Photo Miss Rick and Mr. Greenman OSHKOSH The engagement of Miss Sandra Sue Rick to Wallace E.

Greenman has been announced by her mother, Mrs. Violet Rick, 825 St. The bridegroomelect is the son of Mrs. Leona Greenman, 232 W. Seventh Ave.

Miss Rick is a dental assistant in the office of Dr. William Hammond. Her fiance, who attended Wisconsin State University-Oshkosh, is employed by the Oshkosh Post Office as a postal transportation clerk. The pair will be married on Feb. 10.

Pamela R. Smick Miss Smick and Mr. Metko 'OSHKOSH Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Smick, 1728 Arizona have announced the engagement of their daughter, Pamela Ruth, to Frank J.

Metko. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Metko, 417 Caroline Neenah. Miss Smick is employed in the office of Miles Kimball.

Her fiance is with Neenah Foundry. The couple has no immediate wedding plans. Wendy Lynn Brooks.
